Revenue sets OMSP for the E 63 S at circa €140,000+, meaning VRT can add €52,000–€57,000. New, this car was €210,000+ all-in. Two-year-old examples are now appearing at €140,000–€160,000 — still expensive, but the depreciation curve has done a lot of the work.

Pre-purchase inspection of any used Mercedes over 60,000 km is essential — air suspension faults, StarDiag-readable fault codes, and service indicator resets are all things that specialist inspection can identify before you buy. Budget-priced Mercedes from smaller dealers warrant extra scrutiny.
Mercedes' PHEV lineup (C 300e, E 300e, GLE 350e) qualifies for SEAI VRT relief in Ireland and lower Benefit-in-Kind rates for company car users. The GLE 350e in particular positions well — the PHEV version attracts meaningfully lower VRT than the diesel GLE, and the BIK rate for qualifying PHEV models is substantially lower for employees where the company is providing the car.
